Make sure the steam function is turned off. Prepare the Surface: Lay the clothing item flat on the ironing board or a heat-resistant surface. Smooth out any wrinkles in the fabric. Position the Patch: Place the iron-on patch with the graphic side facing up in the desired location on the clothing. Ensure it is straight and centered as you want it to be permanently fixed. Cover the Patch: Place a thin fabric or towel over the patch. This helps protect both the patch and the fabric from direct heat, which can be too harsh. Iron the Patch: Press the heated iron onto the cloth-covered patch. Apply firm, even pressure and hold it in place for about 30-45 seconds (no back and forth). Flip and Iron the Back Side: Flip the garment inside out and apply even pressure to the backside of the patch for 30 to 45 seconds. Check the Edges: After applying heat, check if the edges of the patch are securely adhered to the fabric. If any edges are lifting, cover the patch again with the cloth and reapply the iron, focusing on the edges. Let It Cool: Allow the patch to cool completely before handling the clothing item. This helps the adhesive set properly. Check the Adhesion: Once cooled, gently test the patch to ensure it is securely attached. If needed, you can reapply heat to any areas that may need more adhesion.Washing Instructions:Turn garment inside out before washing to protect the patch and fabric from abrasion. Wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent using cold or lukewarm water. Best to air dry the garment, but If using a dryer, use a low heat setting. Avoid high heat as it can affect the patch and fabric.Check Adhesion Regularly: Over time, check the edges of the patch to ensure it is still securely adhered. If edges begin to lift, you can re-iron them following the initial application instructions.Additional Tips:Pre-Wash Fabric: Washing the fabric beforehand can help remove any finishes or chemicals that might interfere with the adhesive.Avoid Stretchy Fabrics: Iron-on patches adhere best to fabrics like cotton, denim, and polyester.
